Morning Light

You’re lying naked in my bed
Arm and hand cover your head
Hiding your eyes from the morning light
You look so good, you feel so right
I want to kiss every each of your skin
And hold you close until you let me in
Then I will claim you as my own
And I’ll never wander nor leave you alone

Everyday I let you know that you’re mine
And how much you affect me, you make me shine
Your voice and body have become my religion
Doesn’t matter what you’ve done, who you’ve been
Because all I know is how I feel
When we’re alone and what is real
And how you look when you’re asleep
And why at night you wake and weep
And I know you have my heart
Because when we make love we make art
