With the trash overflowing
And the lawn needing mowing,
There is so much to do I must admit.
On the couch I have got
A most comfortable spot
I intend to do nothing but just sit.
I know it sounds crazy
But I’m not really lazy
Trying to be a good citizen with legal devotion.
It just is because
I follow all of the laws
I’m obeying Newton’s First Law of motion.
No matter who asks,
With those very annoying tasks
Newton’s First Law of Motion will reverse ya’.
This body will at best
Definitely stay at rest
Just a simple case of basic inertia
My resting body not in stress
Will stay at rest that is unless
Some external force is applied to it.
The strongest force in life
Is a very angry wife,
With a list of task and I suddenly decide to do it.
