At the wane of October, by the dark of the moon
When sidewalks and lawns with leaves have been strewn.
A chill wind comes blowing, north by northeasty,
And neighborhood fills with many a “wee timorous beastie.â€
The streets become filled with witches and ghosts,
Superheroes and monsters, a seeming countless host.
They run ‘cross the grass to the well-lighted porch
Attracted and drawn, like the moth to a torch.
There sits by the door an orange, hollowed carved gourd,
With candle inside, to protect from the hoard.
Inside the door there sits a bowl handy,
Filled to the top with all types of candy.
The sound of the bell and a chorus of shrieks,
Announces the time for the trick and the treats.
Open the door, face vampires and hags,
And all sorts of creatures with wide-open bags.
Candy for all, they run off and then
Another group of goblins and do it again. Read more

Dried arms of maple
Reach up to embrace
They are bare now
Naked and wrinkled
Grey
Like the skin of the old
Still
Hope remains
Tangled neath’
Their knotted knuckles
Soon to wear
A shimmery coat
Bejeweled and brilliant
In the afternoon sun
Coating our hearts
Against the bleakness
Of January days
Wrinkled yet dressed
White
Like the skin of the new
And so
Hope remain
Growing neath’
The crystal coverage
Tiny embryos of green
Dreaming of spring
Awaiting their chance
To be born.

While snowflakes dance and a cold Eastwind blows
My hands in the pockets and a red tip of nose
I’m keeping my heart warm with a lovely dream
Knowing of wonders, taking place soon in Spring:
Spread out is a golden velvety carpet
On pastures’growing, green, lush bed
While trees attract us veiled like brides
Twig and branch covered in radiant white
Gardens compete with tulips and crocus
Every spot shining in beautiful colours
Above all is the arch of a deep blue sky
Garnished with shepherds clouds sailing by.
A day in May, described in a chanson
Makes our hearts tremble and lights up our soul
After the winter’s rule so austere
We’re craving warmth, light, new life to appear
Birds been mute, they greet mornings again
None of them looks for a partner in vain
Soon soil and air are bustling with life –
Spring is the bliss we gratefully achieve.

Winter’s icy fingers freeze
the earth, yet grace the trees,
with frost like finest lace,
pure white.
Spun by ghostly weavers
in the night.
How magical, this winter scene,
swathed in moonlight’s silver
spangled sheen.
Snow-laden days that she
may bring.
A prelude to a glorious
Spring.

Christmas is a time for joyÂ
for every little girl or boyÂ
a time for toysÂ
no time for boysÂ
with family is where i’ll beÂ
come on mamaÂ
just you and me!Â
everywhere i goÂ
everything i seeÂ
there is a reminder that this is where santa will be!!!!!Â
when i look at my wall
i see my pretty CHRISTMAS bow!Â
I look out my windowÂ
and i hear Santa shoutingÂ
HO!HO!HO!

A perfect winter of frost and cold
With scarfs and hats and gloves to hold
People pushing to get by fast
So they can sit infront of the fire
And warm their toes
Walk by slowly to notice the silence
No birds. No squirrels
But the wind running
Feeling the dull black gravel with puddles
And hearing cars honking and shouting
“Get out of my way! You are so annoying!!”
There are so much drama going on around me
As I walk….but I don’t mind it…
I love this street. This city.
It has so many seasons
And Winter is The Biggest!
This city has a ring to it
That makes you chill to
This is just a day like any other
But it is special
A day In New York…

Jingle, Jingle, Jingle!
Here comes ol’ Kris Kringle!
He’s got games and toys
For all the little girls and boys!
He’s going through his list
making sure none gets missed.
He’s bringing puppies and kittens
And knitted wool mittens,
Teddy bears, dolls and candy canes too;
I bet there’s even something for you!
His sleigh is full of happy things
’cause Christmas cheer is what he brings!
Jewelry for mom, new tools for dad,
Gifts if you’re good, coal if your bad
Under the tree is where they’ll appear,
So I hope you’ve been good all year!!!
Here’s wishing you a merry Christmas to you;
And may all your holiday wishes come true!

My Indian summer. It was no bummer.
A warm day in the winter time.
It was cold outside yesterday.
But today, it was as warm as the month of May.
Even though; the trees, they were covered with snow.
The sun was shining bright. Much to my delight.
Warming up my day. Like the warm candlelight.
It was warm outside today.
But tomorrow it will be colder.
For my Indian summer. It will be over.
And the snow will bury, the green green clover.
Over, and over, and over.
The snow will bury, the green green clover.
If my Indian summer continues to go.
For a few more days, my heart will grow.
Keeping me warm for another day.
Now, the kids can go out and play.
For my Indian summer. It was no bummer.
A warm day in the winter time.
It was cold outside yesterday.
But today, it was as warm as the month of May…
