Love can overcome war

Out of love flows the milk of human kindness….
for it is there to remind us.
it is god’s blessing from above,… to keep
in mind when it comes to push and shove.
if we all search our souls hard enough,….
will will discover the love that lies hidden deep
inside of us.

let’s all try to get along,…to make life and love
one big happy song.for the world is like an apple slowly
rotting from the core,….ruled by thieves and despots
who are arming themselves for war.
so,if we now all join hands and work along together as
one,….
the battle will not be lost, but won.

The Birds

Envision the precipitation
The clouds begin to take formation
In awe of the perfect weather
Farmers eagerly await their vegetation
Everyone goes about their day
The sun shines upon our ways
As I breathe fresh air
What a wonderful day
I watch slightly
As the children play
Observe the birds fly
Fly to the clouds ever so high
Flying overseas
Gliding through peaceful skies
Communication to other birds
Confirming their destination
The precision of their direction
Requires the greatest contemplation
Gaze in admiration
As the flocks swiftly swoop down
Slithering upon
Various counties and numerous towns
Watch as populations gathers around
To gasp in horror
As the crowd’s smiles turns to frowns
Prepare to unload
On unsuspecting people
This is justice in our eyes
Mushroom clouds engulfed cities
And our equals

Mine Eyes

mine eyes, have seen the gory unspeakable
tragedies of war
they walk across the battlefield, and shoot
their guns some more
they shoot and shoot and kill and then they
start to shoot some more
the truth is all right there

glory glory what’s it to ya?
we come to your country just to screw ya
a loaded 44 is a mans best friend in war
and one more dead enemy lying on the floor

you can see it in their hearts and you can see it on their hand.
the blood of all the innocents they kill in foreign lands.
they fight for might and what is right and what the leaders say is
so and they dont give a care to what the truth is because they do not know

Stop this war

No faith allows hatred
No faith allows you war
for power
war causes death
war causes destructions
war causes poverty
war increases deadbodies
war increases hatred
a measure mistake
a severe punishment
for humanity
which suffers by innocent peoples
children and infants of both sides

“They May Have,” and “We Suspect,” but We Never Knew

Where are the weapons of mass destruction?
I do not believe that there are any
because I think Saddam Hussein would have
used them had he had them to protect his
country.
Even if he had them, and decided not to use
them, why would we consider him a threat
to us?
If he had them, he didn’t even use them to
protect his own country.
I don’t believe he would leave them lying
around to use on another rainy day.
Wouldn’t he want to protect his palaces,
if not his own people?
And this crock about weapons being moved
to Syria is just another excuse for our country
to go in and invade.
Remember the recent words, “Iraq may have
biological and chemical weapons.
We suspect that Saddam Hussein has weapons
of mass destruction.”
Now, we suspect Syria has weapons of mass
destruction, and who else will we suspect along
the way?
Maybe Libya, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt?
Here we go again.
How many countries do we need to enter
before we see that they have no weapons of
mass destruction?
Where is the undeniable proof?

Surely, other countries are not going to disarm
so that they can be attacked with no weapons or
way to fight back.
It’s a bit like being raped, and then being asked
to die in bed, naive of what happened, pretending
your a virgin.
I would think that countries like North Korea
would have learned their lesson, and not be willing
to take the same route as Iraq.
In fact, I am afraid that other countries will
decide to get weapons of mass destruction because
they don’t want to be blown up like Iraq.
I am not so sure that our show of strength, and all
our muscle flexing is going to work to our advantage.
It may serve to make others want to prepare.

Iraq threatened and ordered U.S. troops to come
no nearer.
Iraq hoped that we would believe that they had
what they were being accused of.
If you were trying to protect your own people,
wouldn’t you threaten people with what they claimed
they feared most about you?
This was a pathetic attempt of desperate people
trying to survive.
The troops kept coming, and there were no biological, nuclear, or chemical weapons.
They suspected that Iraq might have and could have chemical weapons of mass destruction,
and now, they suspect Syria might have them too.

Freedom

How can people have freedom
if there is no peace?
Peace is life.
Though most of the polls said
that the Americans were for war,
don’t forget that most of the world
wasn’t.
The majority spoke and were opposed.
It’s not going to be so easy to remedy
Iraq by handing them democracy,
while using some doc in the box
attitude.
Are we demonstrating democracy
while silencing and condemning those
who are supposed to be free to express
their opinions?
Aren’t we telling Iraq that they can be just
like us?

The Vet

The man of whom
I’m about to speak,
Is a man so cold,
Yet mild and meek.

He’s a man
Who knew
What he
Had to do

To keep this
Country safe for
People like
Me and you.

This man
In Nam,
Dodged many
A bomb.

He watched
People die.
Many like
You and I.

They were mostly innocent,
Or so you might think;
Or would they stab you in the back
And an eye never blink.

Trust is something
There was little of.
It was mostly Faith
That came from Above.

Most of his tour
Was a living Hell.
And when he got home,
His pride nearly fell.

Here he was,
Home…. And free.
But himself he found
He could never be.

What of War?

Swelters the sun
Upon flesh that knows not
The truths of sky or of
Sea or of

Blood
Darkening the night
Blinding the sight
Of

Crackled sand
Gray against this day
Of this day and the next

Searing hopeless lips
Dry
Upon the earth of
The world
Seeking truths that lie
Between crevices and
Cracks of

Weathered humanity
Crying upon
The cradled graves
Of all the is…
All that was…
And all that may
Never be again
…And what of
W A R?
