A sign beneath the foggy lamp post
Glanced by the corner of my eye
And saw the name once again
I knew it didn’t lie
It was so silent with no expression
But many words I knew would last
Those words were written loud and clear.. “I do I really do”
I am sure of it I saw it there
But still my journey must go on
And so I went with a slight sigh
And said “oh my God. It is so far.”
The road went on and the gas went slowly down
But I still kept going till another sign came by
It was so clear beneath the light and yet very distant….
Maybe those words werent meant to say “I do ” but more like “I will”?
The tires kept turning and the gas kept decreasing,
and the radio began playing
A tune I fully did not recognise
But then it turned dead as it ended with the words “Do you see now?”
I pulled to the side and found the map
To find out where I was at
I was lost and very confused
But knew I had to stay calm and cool
Without my mind at ease and my heart at the right place
I wouldnt get far in my directions in life or on the streets where it looked nearly dead
I took a deep breath and closed my eyes
And thought deep within my heart
I took the cell and dialed your name
“Would you pick up?”
And luckily you said “Hi”
“I do I really will marry you” I said.
